Please read these terms carefully before using DishNet Africa services.
Last updated: January 2025
These Terms of Use govern your use of the services provided by DishNet Africa Limited ("DishNet," "we," "us," or "our"), a licensed Internet Service Provider registered and operating in the Republic of South Sudan. By subscribing to or using any DishNet service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
DishNet provides internet connectivity services including but not limited to Starlink satellite internet (as an authorized reseller), fiber-to-the-home broadband, private LTE networks, VSAT satellite services, managed IT services, structured cabling, and business WiFi solutions.
Services are available to individuals aged 18 and over and to legally registered businesses and organizations. You must provide accurate and complete information when subscribing to our services.
Starlink services are available anywhere in South Sudan with a clear view of the sky. Fiber services are currently available in select areas of Juba and are subject to infrastructure availability. We will confirm service availability at your location before installation.
All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD). South Sudanese Pound (SSP) equivalents are provided at the prevailing exchange rate and are subject to change. Payment is due on the billing date specified in your service agreement. We accept cash (USD and SSP), bank transfer, and mobile money. Late payment may result in service suspension.
Installation fees are one-time charges as specified at the time of order. DishNet will arrange installation at a mutually agreed time. You are responsible for providing safe access to your premises for our technicians. Any structural modifications required for installation will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
Plans marketed as "unlimited" are subject to a Fair Usage Policy (FUP). Under normal residential or business use, you will not be affected by the FUP. The policy applies only in cases of extreme or unusual consumption that may degrade service quality for other users on the network. DishNet reserves the right to manage traffic to ensure fair access for all customers.
Starlink hardware purchased through DishNet is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. Warranty covers manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use. Physical damage, water damage (beyond IP rating), and unauthorized modifications are not covered. Router and ONT equipment provided for fiber services remains the property of DishNet and must be returned upon service cancellation.
Services are provided on a month-to-month basis unless otherwise agreed. You may cancel your service at any time by contacting our support team. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Installation fees and hardware purchases are non-refundable. Fiber equipment must be returned within 14 days of cancellation.
DishNet targets 99.9% uptime for fiber services and provides best-effort connectivity for satellite services. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible. Service credits may be issued for extended outages at DishNet's discretion.
You agree not to use DishNet services for any unlawful purpose, to distribute malware or spam, to engage in activities that disrupt or degrade the network, or to resell services without written authorization from DishNet.
DishNet collects and processes personal data necessary to provide services, including your name, contact information, location, and billing details. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with service partners (such as SpaceX for Starlink activation) as necessary to deliver services.
DishNet shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service interruptions, data loss, or any inability to use services. Our total liability shall not exceed the monthly service fee paid by you.
DishNet may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated via our website and, where practical, by direct notification. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Sudan. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation and, if necessary, through the courts of Juba, Central Equatoria State.
